Meet my beautiful sister and my first ever muse. I went down to spend a week with her in Orange County back in February on her last week of pregnancy with her first child. She was over a week late and it was a good thing I was there to distract her. We did everything we could think of to naturally induce her labor. We walked and walked and walked. We stepped up and down from curbs. We drank pineapple juice. Relaxed on picnic blankets while her husband ran around playing soccer ..etc. It was such an amazing time to spend with her in her last few days before she officially became a parent. 
I have nothing against traditional maternity shoots, it’s just not really my thing. I believe pregnancy is such a beautiful and natural thing on its own that it just merely should be documented. I find the photographs of my sister in a parking lot drinking a giant glass of pineapple juice in her sneakers so much more honest and true to her experience. She needed a little more convincing but in the end, the images that follow are a humorous and beautiful snippet of a part of her pregnancy experience. 
I feel so fortunate to have a sister and to be able to share these crazy chapters of our lives together.
