Remembering Dinner Parties-Farm Friendsgiving

I’m sure a lot of us at this point in Covid are nostalgically looking back on past gatherings. For me, my favorite type of gathering revolves around food. There are few things sweeter than shared meals with friends, old and new. Food is a pretty big deal in my group of friends, and wine of course- They go hand in hand. The images I stumbled upon the other day are from a Friendsgiving dinner at our friend’s farm back in 2019. And as you can probably tell from these images we are a group of people that are a bit extra. I mean if you’re going to have a dinner party why not forage greenery and style that table to make it feel extra special. In addition to the lovely barn family-style table, there was pheasant cooked over an open fire, potluck style meal, and horses to cuddle. The night ended with live music and a campfire. The perfect evening if you ask me.

Since then these friends that own this property have packed up their bags and moved across the country selling this special spot. Time moves so fast and so slow all at the same time and it’s so hard not to get lost in the sweet nostalgia of it all. But I do believe it’s always important to slow down and be grateful for good times and remember more are always just around the corner. It’s nearly impossible not to daydream about future gatherings which I’m sure there will be a TON of when it’s safe to do so. But until then I will reminisce on these sweet photos.
